Sunday was not a fun day
Sunday started off well. I slept through the night as I didn’t have hourly messages from the ‘stay at home’ app, thank god. I had a strong coffee and checked out Instagram. Brad Goreski’s ‘Bradbucks’ is the highlight of my morning lately!
I smashed out a 60 min cardio session (because bored) then wandered aimlessly around the apartment.
Back in the day when life was normal, I would jump in the shower straight after the gym then head out for the day. Now that I’m in lockdown, I’m trying to find things to do to delay the feeling of wanting to go out.
I gave the large plant on the balcony a trim, had a tidy up and I was done. What am I going to do for the rest of the day??? Luckily (for me) it’s raining, that puts a dampener on wanting to go out (pun intended).
I took random photos of my balcony - it really is a great little space. I would be lost without it at the moment.
Life in lockdown isn’t normal. I have to take my temperature twice a day (although this has been normal when I’ve gone into the office for the last month or so) and I have to record any symptoms that I might be having. Apparently I don’t need to send this info anywhere, but the quarantine police will check it if they come to visit.
I’ve also been checking the log of flight passengers who have tested positive for Clovid-19 since landing. So far my flight from Sg is clear. If anyone sitting near me contracted the virus, the quarantine police would come visit and take me off to quarantine jail for another 14 days (OMFG!)
Sunday afternoon I was feeling quite vague and lost. I’m not sure if it’s the lack of human contact or cabin fever or a combination of both. I did some online shopping (because lockdown). Stay tuned for a new expanded gym coming to the guest room soon.
I was so flat that I watched old episodes of ‘Ladies of London’. Mmmm not sure that was the best thing to enhance my mood! I should have stuck to watching Bradbucks on insta!
Mood of the day: 6/10
Mental health: ok
Yearning to go outside: low-med (because rain)
Steps: 4302 (so low but better than a lot of days recently)
Song of the day: https://youtu.be/DpWVsOyf0n4
Please feel free to share comments below so I know if anyone is reading this lockdown lowdown.
Stay safe and wash your hands x

Good song choice! It’s so hard when you start feeling trapped. You know you have to stop thinking about it but it’s all you can think about!!! Here is my lost of top 3 time-sucking activities when you feel as if you’re going nuts:
ReplyDelete* pinterest - you can waste hours making pinterest boards! Hairstyles, home deco ideas, foods, travel destinations, anything really!
* ipad games - lately I’ve been really into this app Covet where you pick outfits for different scenarios and vote on the best ones, very addictive! There’s basically games for everything now, also ipad apps for stuff like drawing, learning piano or languages, so much stuff! YouTube is good for learning new hobbies too!
* audible - audiobooks are awesome because you can either do other stuff while listening or just veg out! I like to listen to audiobooks while pinning stuff on pinterest!
Sorry my suggestions aren’t very interesting, that’s about as exciting as I get!!! At least through the week you have work to keep you distracted! I know some places here are asking for people who are at home to foster dogs but I don’t know if they’re doing that in HK or how it’d work.
Keep it up Lynne ! You can do this! Balcony looks great :)
