Freedom is coming a day sooner than expected
This post should be about Monday but I’m combining Monday and Tuesday so I can share some very exciting news. I received a text message from the quarantine people (whoever they are) to say that my life in lockdown finishes at midnight tonight, Tuesday 7 April. Woo hoo!
I had thought that my quarantine ended midnight Wednesday night, but apparently the day that I landed back in Hong Kong counts as day 1. I didn’t land until late, so that’s an unexpected bonus!
While I was feeling ok about being in lockdown, I was surprised at my response to receiving this message. I was so emotional there were nearly tears. Then I did a happy dance around the office/gym/guest room. Woo hoo! But more in that tomorrow. https://youtu.be/UWLIgjB9gGw
In other exciting news, the rest of my gym equipment arrived late Monday afternoon. I was on a work call and there was a knock on my door. I panicking thinking that it was the quarantine police, (because no visitors) forgot to mute my call and shared the panic with a load of my colleagues. They found it all very amusing. But it wasn’t the police, it was the concierge knocking to say he’d left a delivery outside my door.
The gym has gone platinum! I’m now the proud owner of dumbbells and a foam roller. I’d never used a foam roller before but this blue guy is my new BFF. Omg it hurt like hell but it was good pain, I’ll be using this every morning after my stretching.
Speaking of which, I took this delightful shot after my double training session this morning (because I woke up so early).
Thanks for all the video chats and messages. Look out world, here I come.

Yes, that’s sweat dripping off my chin and on my glasses. Insane!
It was a really lovely clear morning this morning after a bloody cold 16 degree day yesterday. I stood on the balcony enjoying the view.
Fingers crossed for some sunshine tomorrow!
I haven’t been outside (obvs) but I wanted to share some photos of the HSBC building in Central. Apparently there are a load of different messages. I thought this was brilliant.

Work has been really busy but I have take Thursday off so that I have all day to be outside if that’s what I want to do. Tomorrow is another crazy busy day but I think I’ll get up extra early and go for a morning walk. Because I can.
Mood of the day: Elated!
Mental health: great
Steps: Mon 8,234 & Tues 7,528 so far (6.30pm)
The need to go outside: high after getting my freedom message
