I’ve hit the half way mark!

It’s Wednesday and I’ve survived seven days in lockdown and only have seven to go (glass half full)! As I mention in my last post, life in lockdown has become normal. I’m very settled in my little bubble that is my home.

To celebrate the half way mark of my incarceration, I did a ‘Lynne workout’. I may have got my ambitions mixed up with me capabilities, but I completed a 50 min cardio session. I got through it, but was a red-faced sweaty mess by the end of it. A photo will not be shared!

Before my training, I did a 6.15am mini renovation of the gym.

The floor rug has been rolled up and put in to storage (under the sofa bed) so I now have a more appropriate space for getting my sweat on. Minor changes but they make a big difference.

My phone rang mid morning today and it was someone trying to verify my address. I started to panic and decided that this was the quarantine police coming to pay me a visit. To say I was relieved when a delivery dude knocked on my door is an understatement! Delivery guys understand when I say I can’t open my door because I’m in quarantine. They are ok to leave the parcel at the door and run. Part 1 of my gym upgrade has arrived! No bloody idea why they would deliver items individually, but HK!

Deliveries are all well and good, but what am I going to do with the rubbish?? Mmm maybe I’ll need to turn this into a cubby house or a storage solution. Or maybe it will just disappear to the rubbish room!

I’ve been worried about my ‘stay at home’ app not working properly. I hadn’t received a message to upload a photo of my QR code for days, then when the messages started coming through again, the photo function on the app didn’t appear.

If you’ve been following my lockdown journey, you’ll know that I really don’t want to go to quarantine jail. I saw photos of the ‘new and much nicer’ quarantine jail today.
While I’m sure it’s ok, I have no desire to find out!

I’ve been trying to get through to the ‘stay at home’ app helpline for days. On Wednesday morning I managed to get through. I lovely lady noted my issues (with the app, not general life issues) and said someone would call me back.

To the helpline people I’m known by a number. I hadn’t taken much notice of the numbers on the band, but I’m 61,935. That’s a bloody lot of people in lockdown!

The helpline lady called me back and told me that my tracking is still working on the app and the tech team have verified that they have my location details feeding through. She also told me not to worry if I wasn’t able to upload photos. Such a relief.
I’m a bit concerned about my band. The QR code is really starting to fade and I’m only half way through my lockdown. Let’s hope the photo function on the app doesn’t start to work as it may not be able to read the code.

Mood of the day: 9/10
Mental health: great
Steps: 10,550 (I’ve hit 10k woo hoo!)
The need to go outside: what’s outside??
Song of the day: https://youtu.be/nCrlyX6XbTU

Thanks to everyone for reaching out. Your messages, calls and video chats really make a difference.

Stay safe and wash your hands x
